IMSU ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

To all candidates seeking admission into the Imo State University, Owerri, these are the requirements needed to secure Admission into IMSU through JAMB (UTME):

  • All applying candidates, no matter the course you select/choose during your JAMB registration, you are required to have at least, a minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
  • Ensure you select the correct JAMB subject combination for your course. Candidates who select the wrong subject combinations during their JAMB registration may likely not get the course they applied for, regardless of their JAMB score.
  • Candidates must score at least 160 in the just concluded JAMB UTME examination to be eligible for admission into IMSU.
  • During your JAMB registration, you are mandated to select IMSU as your First Choice of Institution. Candidates who didn’t select IMSU as their first choice won’t be admitted for that academic session.
  • You Must Participate in IMSU POST UTME/SCREENING to be considered for admission.
  • Candidates must have reached the age of 16 before the beginning of the new academic session.

Conclusion.

In conclusion, to apply for any of the above IMSU courses, you need to have a good O’level result, select IMSU as your first choice during your UTME registration, and ensure you will be sixteen years old before the new academic session, usually between September – October of the year you applied for admission.
