Complete List of Nigerian Universities that Accepts Low Credit For Direct Entry Admission

Another Wonderful Information reaching Our news desk this Morning is that some Universities in Nigeria, are accepting candidates with Low credits for Direct Entry Admission.

The truth is that certain universities, especially those with Lots of candidates applying for admission, always prefer upper credit to lower credit grade on your National Diploma (ND)/Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates for those applying for Direct Entry.

However, from recent news and what we have seen so far, we discover that there are certain Nigerian universities still accepting candidates with lower credit grade.

So compiling this list to make it easier for Direct Entry Candidates, the Dailyschoolnews Nigeria team has published below, list of selected universities in Nigeria that accept lower credit for Direct Entry admission.

1. University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN)
2. Osun State University (UNIOSUN)
3. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)
4. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University formerly Anambra State University (ANSU)
5. University of Calabar (UNICAL)
6. University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID)
7. Usman Dan Fodio University Sokoto (UDUSOK)
8. Niger Delta University (NDU) Wilberforce
9. Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT)
10. Nasarawa State University (NSUK), Keffi
11. University of Jos (UNIJOS)
12. Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU)
13. Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA)
14. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) for History and Performing Arts
15. All private universities (you may need upper credit for some courses)

(We have discovered that all Private Universities in Nigeria accepts candidates applying for direct entry admission, into their institution, even with Lower credits. However, for certain courses like Medicine, you need upper credits before you will be admitted into the institution.)

Please take note that JAMB Direct Entry is mainly for candidates, who already have a diploma certificate and wish to go for a degree programme in any Nigeria university of their choice.

You should also note that If offered admission into the school of their choice, the direct entry student usually starts from 200 level.
