The Kanthari institution is currently welcoming participants who are over 22 years of age (the school does not have an upper age limit) who have overcome significant life challenges ranging from the following:
- Vision impairment,
- Disability,
- Poverty,
- War,
- Discrimination,
- Exploitation.
Applicants should note that they could also be witnesses to social situations they wish to change so others do not suffer. Those who are interested in applying, should note that they need to have a passion to make the world a better place and the strength to be forces of good rather than be victims of circumstance forced by others.
NOTE: All applicants are required and MUST speak, understand basic English language and have basic computer skills to be eligible for this scholarship.
The Kanthari’s twelve (12) month program will help selected participants develop all necessary skills to succeed as social change-makers so they can start and run their own Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s), Social enterprises or social ventures to help victims.
Selected participants will qualify for a scholarship that is provided by the institution’s donors to cover the training fee and accommodation fee of participants.
However, selected participants should note that all travel fees and incidental expenses will be their responsibility.

How to Apply For Kanthari Course 2020.
All interested persons should take note that Applications for the 2020 Kanthari course are welcome. You should apply now before it’s late. To ensure you are provided with high quality training, this institution only accommodates a maximum of 25 participants per academic year who are chosen through a stringent five-step selection process which are mentioned below.
Step 1: Application via online application form.
Through the submission of your application form, the institution will get a clear understanding of you, your project and vision for social change.
Step 2: Initial interview.
In this step, the institution’s intake team will interview you over Skype to get a feel for your passion and clarity in regards to your chosen project and why you are passioniate about it. We will also answer any questions you may have about the program and application process through the skype chat.
Step 3: Write up of an Essay.
In this step, you will be required to write a short history about yourself, your challenges, and how you have dealt with these, and about your vision for social change.
Step 4: Follow up Interview.
This will also be conducted via Skype. The Skype interview will be conducted by an independent expert to determine your suitability for this very intense course by building a personality profile.
Step 5: Final interview.
As the name suggests, this final interview will be done with other management of Kanthari before a final selection decision is made by the management. Take note that there will be additional assignments to be completed before your arrival in India.

Am I willing to be 100% committed to making my goals/dreams/vision and social project come true, even after I am through with the 12 months program?
- Am I willing to come to the institute with a spirit of integrity, mutual respect for other students, tutors and managerial team, exchange, contribution, and teamwork?
- Am I willing to be of assistant to other students in achieving their goals and develop their skills in the areas in which I consider myself an expert?
- Am I willing to participate in all activities giving 100% every time and things in terms of my knowledge, experience, energy, effort, creativity, and talent?
- Am I willing to commit a total of twelve (12) months to the Kanthari course of which 7 months of that period in India and 5 Months at the place where the impact needs to be made?
- Am I 100% committed to working intensively on developing my social entrepreneurship and leadership skills to help the cause?
