There’s breaking news coming from Abia state that ten (10) students of the Abia State University (ABSU) have been abducted along the Uturu/Isuikwuato Road, Abia State, Nigeria.
According to sunnewsonline, these ten Abia State University, Uturu (ABSU) students were reportedly abducted by bandits along the Ihube-ABSU Road by bandits.
This sad news of gunmen abducting students is coming just weeks after three lecturers of this same academic institution were kidnapped by gunmen along THE SAME Uturu/Isuikwuato Road.
This kidnapping incident was said to have taken place between 5 pm and 6 pm on Saturday, the 18th September 2021, and this latest report has put the university community in chaos.
However, the ten students were not the only ones kidnapped, seeing that an Abia line bus carrying passengers to the school, including an SUV and a Hilux van belonging to a private firm was found empty at the scene of the event, which clearly means that the students weren’t the only ones abducted.
While responding to questions from newsmen, a security source said that as of the time of reporting this, the total number of abducted persons is not yet known. More details coming soon.
Students, lecturers, and the entire educational community of Abia State University (ABSU) should be careful. We’re praying for your safety out there.
