Here’s a brief history about MAPOLY you should know. No knowledge is a waste, right? The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, popularly known as Mapoly is a state owned polytechnic, that was created in 1979. But Moshood Abiola Polytechnic isn’t the original name.
This academic institution was first created as the Ogun State Polytechnic during the military administration of Harris Eghagha. A surprising fact is that the first set of 220 students was admitted in January 1979, same year it created.
The Polytechnic started on two temporary campuses, namely: Oke-Egunya and Onikolobo. However, this institution finally moved to their permanent site, the Ojere campus between April 1985 and March 1988. By the 2004-2005 academic session, the student population was 18,878, with about 520 academic and non-academic staff.
Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, located in Abeokuta, Ogun State has been recognized by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Nigeria and all courses listed below have been accredited by the appropriate institutions too.
