University of Lagos state wins battle over the re-naming of unilag to Maulag

This is no new NEWS anymore that You the president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan did proposed to changed the name of The University of Lagos, known as Unilag, to Moshood abiola university [Moulag?] it has been the subject of discussion in the Nigerian educational system, and to be frank, other sectors were not happy with the president Decision, the changed took place on Democracy day speech given by the president.

University Of Lagos was renamed in honour of MKO Abiola after the supposed June 12 1993 election winner.

However, today latest speech in support of UNILAG, came from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), when they revealed and shared a logo, bearing the inscription on it that reads:
UNILAG FOREVER indicating their support for the Former name [unilag] over the supposed renamed to the new maulag,

This Change of Unilag name from Unilag To Maulag was taken globally, that even the ever popular Wikipedia, yes fast enough to edit unilag to maulag.

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday granted an interim order restraining the Federal Government from renaming the University of Lagos(UNILAG) to Maulag.
The order was granted by Justice Stephen Adah, who was ruling in the suits brought against the democracy day in Nigeria, May 29, 2012 renaming of the institution by the students and alumni of the University of Lagos(UNILAG).

The court, however, advised the litigants to harmonise the suits into one and adjourned further hearing till next month, being 4th of July 2012.

However,here are the list of defendants in the suits against unilag being renamed to maulag.
1. University of Lagos state.
2. The University Of Lagos state Governing Council.
3. The University Of Lagos state Senate.
4. The Attorney General of the Federation and the National Assembly.
