Ogun State Assembly Confirms Tai Solarin (TASUED) Status

Following various National public outcries on the status of Tai Solarin University of Education, otherwise known as TASUED, the Ogun State House of Assembly has thrown its weight behind Africa’s second University of Education saying that TASUED has come to stay.

In a publication which was made recently made by the National Mirror Publication, which was credited to a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Remmy Hassan recently declared that any higher institution established by law could not just be de-listed on the pages of newspapers as erroneously reported.

If those laws are still in place, it also means that those schools are also still in existence.
And according to him, the general public should not entertain any fear over the rumour that the government has scrapped the school, the Honourable emphasize.

Recently, the National Universities Commission (NUC) has also recognised TASUED as one of the Universities that met with the requirements for running part-time programmes in the Country and are eligible to apply for approval of programme by programme basis.
