Baze University, Abuja Graduates 64

LATEST information reaching our news desk today, is that the Baze University, a private university which is currently based in Abuja, had on Saturday, graduated 64 students and jointly conferred a posthumous honorary doctorate degree on Dr. Stella Adadevoh, the first doctor to die of Ebola virus in Nigeria.

Dr. Stella Adadevoh is a Hero in Nigeria, a doctor who stood her ground, believed in an Ebola free Nigeria and fought against the sickness.

The Baze university also conferred honorary doctorate degree on former Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki, at its maiden convocation ceremony, which was slightely opposed by some of the board Members.

The Baze University, which was recently established in the year 2011, with ONLY 17 students, has since then, grew to have a student population of 1,300 in 2014 and it’s still growing.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Micheal Hodd, praised Dr. Adadevoh for her contributions to the medical field and her legacy in the profession, and standing her ground to make Nigerians become aware of the virus entering the country.

Mr. Hodd also went on, to disclosed that the university started with a foundation class and three faculties, which are namely:

Management and Social Sciences,
Law,
Computing and Applied sciences,

but has now grown, with a high academic standard.
