LATEST educational news reaching our news desk today, is that a total number of 44 (Forty-four) students at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, have in front of the entire school and their friends, renounced cultism at the weekend.
These students who made the repudiate at a Christian Ceremony which was organized by the School management board, which was attended by eminent clergymen, staff, and students.
While preaching, the guest clergyman, Reverend Father Paul Obayi, went on to ask and urged the students to shun
cultism, saying that cultism simply adds no value to their members’ lives, rather takes their lives before finishing their course.
Also in attendance was the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, who went on to encouraged the ‘repented’ cultists and promised them that the institution would look out for them, in case their members decides to come back for them.

“Because we have submitted, God has prepared us for the journey ahead, all these great Men who have repented from cultist today, so be assured that the University management is here to protect your interest.”

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. Charles Esimone;
Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Onyeyili;
Registrar, Barr. C.C Okeke and Dean, Students Affairs, Prof. Ken Nwogu.
UNIZIK Director of Information and Public Relations, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu.
Speaking at the great occasion, The Director of Information and Public Relations, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu said that this is the second of its kind and the aim of this ceremony, is to re-dedicate the university community to God.
