2016 NABTEB May/June Exam Result is Out

LATEST information reaching our news platform this morning, is that the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has officially released the results of the 2016 May/June National Business Certificate (NBC) and the National Technical Certificate (NTC) examination results for all candidates who participated in the examination.

According to the Registrar of NABTEB, who disclosed this at the national headquarters of the body in Benin city, the Edo State capital, said that the NABTEB examination body had succeeded in the conduct of its first examination in another Africa Country Ivory Coast.

The registrar lamented that the enrollment for NABTEB examination in Nigeria was still low, saying that a total of 81,200 candidates enrolled for the examinations nationwide, while 79,495 candidates sat for the examination for the 2016 session.

According to the Registrar, who went on to provide more details of the results, said that 29,129 candidates, representing 36. 64 per cent scored five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics.

While 46,412 candidates which is representing 58.38 per cent of all 2016 candidates, made five credits with or without English Language and Mathematics.

He advocated the introduction of vocational activities at the early stage, pointing out that “techno-entrepreneurship should be our national slogan in this era of knowledge explosion and other countries are already doing this in their educational sectors.”

Dr Olatunde Aworanti also went on to disclosed that the board recorded a drop in examination malpractices from 5,108 in 2013 to 1,952 in 2014 following precautions taken by the examination body board.

He further went on to attribute the drop to the introduction of e-learning packages for candidates, intensive monitoring and use of biometric data capturing system to help prevent malpractice and bring it down to it’s knees.

With the Nation’s best interest in heart, the Nabteb Chairman called for implementation of new basic curriculum involving vocational activities if the nation’s quest for rapid technological development would be achieved to help push the country forward.
