Update on Strike Embarked By Lecturers Of Federal Polytechnic Ede

As you must been aware, the Lecturers of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, particularly, the chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, had on Monday, embarked on an industrial action, in which, they protested against the non-implementation of Consolidated Tertiary Institution Salary Structure for its members in the academic institution.

This information was made public during an interview with the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) in Osun State, Mr. Adeyemi Komolafe, followed by the Vice Chairman (vc) of the union, Mr. Kayode Azeez.

These two leaders, made it public, that the lecturers will be coming to school, however, they would not be participating in any teaching of the students, to show their grievance.

We’ve also learnt, that this situation has been outlined to the National executive body of ASUP Union, and yes, the National ASUP Union body, gave their full support to the local chapter.
