The Olabisi Onabanjo University cut off mark for this year’s admission has been released. Candidates who scored up to or above OOU cut off marks are automatically eligible to participate in the OOU Post UTME screening exercise. However, candidates who score below the OOU cut off mark, you are not qualified for OOU Post UTME screening exercise.

Brief History:

The Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye is a state (owned and operated by the state government) university which is situated in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Olabisi Onabanjo University, which is popularly known as OOU, was founded July 7, 1982, as Ogun State University (OSU). The school was later renamed Olabisi Onabanjo University on May 29, 2001, in honor of Chief (Dr.) Olabisi Onabanjo, who was then civilian governor of Ogun State, and whose tireless effort gave birth to the University.

The management of the Olabisi Onabanjo University has released the cut-off mark for the 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise.

The OOU admission board through it’s Public Relations Officer has disclosed that candidates who choose/did not choose the University as their first choice/2nd choice during JAMB Registration, and scored a minimum of 180 are eligible for the post UTME screening exercise. This means that the OOU JAMB cut off mark is 180.

OOU Departmental Cut off Mark:

The Olabisi Onabanjo University management has disclosed that although it general cut off mark for eligibility to participate in the OOU Post UTME screening is 180, the OOU departmental cut off marks plays vital role in ensuring your admission into the school.

Candidates who scored a minimum of 180 in their JAMB examination are qualified to apply for admission into any of their choice courses. However, scoring high in your Post UTME determines your admission status.

It is necessary to say this here, that due to the high number of students who are eager to study at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, the admission processes are usually competitive and admissions are given strictly based on the JAMB Scores and Post UTME scores, when totaled and knowing your aggregate score.

OOU Requirements for Admission:

Candidates who were able to score up to or above the cut off mark should note that the Olabisi Onabanjo University requires the following from candidates seeking admission into the school:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credit in Mathematics and English and other relevant subjects as it relates to your course of study.
  • Provide an Original copy of the JAMB result slip.
  • Original ‘O’ level certificate. OOU rarely gives admission to candidates with Awaiting Results.
  • Be able to provide an original copy of your birth certificate.
  • Have your secondary school Testimonial.
