Governor Zulum Visits Borno NYSC Camp, Gifts Corps Member N30k Each

The current governor of Borno State, Governor, Babagana Zulum, today, visited the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Maiduguri. Don’t forget that 13 years Later, NYSC Orientation Camp Resumes in Borno State.

During the governor’s visit to the NYSC camp, after 13 years of being shut down, Governor Zulum announced the donation of N36.4 million as palliatives to the 1,215 youth corps members deployed to the state for their national service.

Governor Zulum gives Borno state NYSC corpers thirty thousand naira

Governor Zulum is known and respected by citizens of Nigeria as one of the best governors. He disclosed the donation of 100 bags of rice, 10 cows, 10 bags of 100 kg of beans, and 10 gallons of cooking oil for a special meal to be prepared for the corps members during their ongoing three weeks of orientation camp in the state capital, Maiduguri.

He said:

“We want to extend palliatives to members of the National Youth Service Corps currently serving in Borno state, and being the first to come here after thirteen years of NYSC camp being shut down in the state. Each one of you will receive the sum of N30,000, that amount will be credited to your accounts as soon as your bank details are provided to me”, Zulum said.

The governor further disclosed: “In addition to that, we have provided you with 100 bags of rice, 10 bags of 100kg beans, 10 gallons of cooking oil and 10 bulls.”

The governor charged the corp members to follow the camp rules by living peacefully among themselves and engaging in acts that would foster peace in the country. Making friends with their fellow corp members and Borno state indigenes, saying that by making friends in this part of the country, together, the youth can build a prosperous Nigeria with sustainable economic growth and development.
