All persons interested in this institution online application form for admission into the 71st Regular Course of the 2019/2020 Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, Kaduna will be available for sale, starting from Monday 22 October 2018 to Thursday 14 March 2019.
NDA Examination Date 2019
The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA screening test date for 2019 has been set. The management has agreed to conduct phase one of the Post-UTME screening on Saturday, 13th April 2019.
The examination will be held at different and selected centres across the country. Only candidates with JAMB 2019 Registration Number will be qualified and eligible to sit for the NDA 2019 Exams.
Important Note
Please take note, that the NDA board has agreed to wait for the JAMB 2019 results before shortlisting candidates for the 71 RC Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) interview.
Please also note that admission into NDA is open to both MALE and FEMALE Nigerians.
NDA Cut Off Marks
The board has made it crystal clear on it’s official cut off marks. Only candidates who score a minimum of 180 (for Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Military Science & Interdisciplinary Studies) and 210 (for Faculty of Engineering) in the JAMB 2019 examination, are those who will be offered admission into NDA by the AFSB.
NDA 71st Regular Course Admission Requirements
Take note that the board has made it clear on the requirements for various undergraduate degree programmes. The requirements are currently open for all to access in the NDA website / applications portal, and in the JAMB Brochure.
Please do take note that all other information about the NDA degree courses, Candidate’s Qualification and eligibility, examination centres are also available on the NDA portal.
You will have an edge and advantage over other applicants, if you have knowledge of French, Arabic and Mandarin. Take note that WAEC/NECO or NABTEB results of 2019 will not be accepted.
1. To be qualified for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy, a candidate must have the following as listed below:
• It is important that a Candidate must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and attained an acceptable minimum national standard (listed above) in English language, Mathematics and any other two subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out by the JAMB brochure.
IMPORTANT TIP: Take note that the course you applied for on JAMB and NDA portal must be the same.
The choice of UTME subjects combination must be relevant to the course applied for in NDA.
You must have a Minimum of Five O’level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC,NECO and NABTEB) in English language, Mathematics and three other subjects which are relevant to the intended programme at not more than two sittings.
Candidate applying for admission into NDA must be up to 17 years, but not less than 21 years by 1st August, 2019.
Important Note:
1. All applying candidates must be between 17 and 19 years old at entry.
2. The Nigerian Air Force has for the main time, stopped the enlistment of female candidates in her Regular Combatant programme in NDA.
• Candidates must not be less than 1.68 meters tall for male, and 1.65 meters for female.
• All applying candidates must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
• Interested Applicants must have a BMI of between 18.5 – 25.5 kg/m2,before they will be considered for selection.
• Candidates interested must be a single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
• Before your application will be successful, you are expected to present a Certificate of indigeneship from the State Government or Local Government Area you hailed from.
• Applicants with a working knowledge of French, Arabic or Mandarin language will have advantage over those without knowledge about these Languages.
Candidates are to note the following:
All applying candidates who have awaiting results are not qualified. Likewise, all application forms which are submitted without results will not be accepted.
Please take note that only examination results of not more than 5 years old from the date of examination will be accepted.
The NDA application form is currently open to both male and female Nigerians only. However, the Nigerian Air force does not accept female candidates for now.
How to Apply For NDA Admission
Admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy is quite easy. The NDA board has made it mandatory, that all persons interested in enrolling into the institution, must sit for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2019 examination.
To commence your registration, all applying candidates should log on to the application portal www.nda.edu.ng or RCapplications.nda.edu.ng.
NDA Registration Fee
The 2019/2020 Nigerian Defence Academy Registration and application fee is Three thousand, Five hundred Naira (N3,500) only.
Please NOTE that only payment against RRR Codes generated through the application portal shared above, would be accepted.
As stated above, all Applicants applying for Admission into NDA 2019/2020 must register in the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).
When registering for JAMB, please take note that you MUST SELECT NDA AS FIRST CHOICE INSTITUTION. THE COURSE APPLUED FOR ON JAMB AND NDA PORTAL MUST BE THE SAME. Each Applicant is expected to sit and partake in the forthcoming JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).

To ensure that your Registration is successful, you must first register with the Nigerian Defence Academy. This first registration is free. To register, you need to create an account.

Take note that your personal account will enable you purchase a form and also help you in completing your application over several sessions.
When registering for NDA, use details you can easily remember, and email you always access. Take note that you will need to log into your account several times, before your registration will be complete. Next time you want to access the NDA Portal, just sign in under “Log in” or “Application Status”.
However, for those who might have already started an application, you can always login to continue from where you stopped. The system will prompt you on how to complete the application. Once satisfied with your application, click on submit!

NDA FORM / APPLICATION STATUS

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
The board has made it compulsory that all Applications forms must be submitted together with the scanned SSCE results online. Once you have successfully submit the online application, it is expect of candidates to immediately download an Acknowledgement Form.
SCREENING DATE AND REQUIREMENTS:
The Nigerian Defence Academy screening test date has been set for the 2019/2020 section. The NDA test will be conducted as phase one of the Post-UTME screening, and it is scheduled to hold on Saturday, the 13th of April, 2019.
Which means that all qualified and eligible candidates are to bring along the following listed below;
• Acknowledgement Form,
• Screening Test Admission Card,
• JAMB result slip,
• TWO (2) postcard size (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs.
You are required to bring the above documents to the Screening Test Centre. The photographs should show only from the chest upwards and should contain the following details about the Candidate.

• Exam number,
• State,
• Exam Centre,
• Course of study,
• Signature at the back.
Take note that only candidates who were successful at the NDA Screening Test, will be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board (phase 2 of the screening test), and after the phase 2, the list of admitted candidates will be published.
ADMINISTRATION:
All Regular Course cadets will be train in the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and the cost of their administration and logistics will be paid by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Which means it’s free for you.
