Benue State University Markudi (BSUM) Acceptance Fee Payment and Registration Guidelines for 2020/2021 Newly Admitted Students

Latest news reaching our news desk today is that the Benue State University Markudi (BSUM) Management has announced the Payment of Acceptance Fee Payment and Registration Guidelines for 2020/2021 academic session for all newly admitted candidates.

Using this medium, we’ll love to notify the general public, especially all candidates offered provisional admission into the Benue State University Makurdi (BSUM) various first-degree programs for the 2020/2021 academic session that the procedures for the payment of the non-refundable admission acceptance fee and registration has commenced and here’s a detailed guideline.

BSU Admission Acceptance Fee Payment and Registration Procedure.

1. The Benue State University, Makurdi (BSUM) management has announced that all successfully admitted candidates are required to do the following listed below:

  • Candidates are required to pay an acceptance fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira only (N15,000.00) using the e-payment procedure.
  • While for candidates who were offered admission into a course they didn’t choose/apply for during their JAMB registration should proceed to do the change of course on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) website.

2 . However, for candidates who have accepted their Admission on JAMB Caps, they’re required to upload the following documents via the institution’s official website for online screening:

  • Original academic qualifications (For UTME and D.E newly admitted students).
  • Original JAMB Result slip that shows your passport photograph in it.
  • Original Direct Entry Online e-registration printout that shows your passport photograph.
  • Birth certificate/declaration of age.
  • Certificate of State Origin.

3. The school management has disclosed that candidates who have been successfully screened, should revisit the Benue State University portal and print out their official admission letter.

4. To successfully make e-payment, use the guideline below:

  • First, you need to visit www.bsum.edu.ng or https://www.portal.bsum.edu.ng.
  • When the portal loads up, proceed and click on the e-Payment platform to open the e-Payment Form.
  • You need to select your program, and Payment Category. In the blank box provided, enter your JAMB Registration Number, Select session or semester as applicable.
  • Click on “Generate Payment Reference” to generate the payment number.
  • Click on Proceed to continue.

a. For Cash Payments at Bank.

Make sure that before you go to the bank, complete and print out your Remita Payment Reference Number slip from the e-Payment Platform via the Benue State University official portal and take it to the bank.

Once you provide receipt of cash, the Bank using “College Pay” will process your transaction and generate Payment Receipt for you. Visit any of the following Bank branches to make payment.

  • Fidelity Bank Plc.
  • Zenith Bank Plc.
  • ECO Bank Plc.
  • Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
  • Sterling Bank Plc.
  • Diamond Bank Plc.
  • First Bank of Nigeria Plc.
  • United Bank for Africa Plc.
  • Unity Bank Plc.
  • Union Bank of Nigeria Plc.
  • Polaris Bank Plc.

b. If you want to pay via ATM: Here’s how to do this.

Visit any ATM machine with your ATM card and follow the procedures below:

  • Go to the nearest ATM machine and slot in your card.
  • Proceed with the normal logins.
  • Select Quick teller from the ATM menu,
  • Select pay bills.
  • Proceed and type in the Payment reference number generated from the E-Payment platform when you are requested to enter the Customer ID.
  • Fill in 04255101 when you are requested to enter the Payment Code.
  • Type in your GSM Number and complete the transaction.
  • After successfully completing the payment, return to the portal to log in and print out your Payment Receipt.

BSU Acceptance Fee Payment using Quickteller Online:

To pay the Benue State University, Makurdi (BSM) Acceptance fee online, you can use the quickteller website www.quckteller.com/bsum to complete your transaction.

  • When the QuickTeller website loads up, enter your JAMB Registration number
  • Type in your email and mobile number and click on the “Continue” button.
  • Next, carefully follow the instructions on the screen to complete your payment.
  • Make sure that you print out the payment confirmation slip.
  • Return to the portal and print out a payment confirmation slip.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

♣. Its important all candidates of Benue State University, Makurdi, for 2020/21 session, are to take note of the following:

  • Checking of Admission Status,
  • Acceptance of admission,
  • Uploading of Documents for Online Screening,
  • Payment of school fees,
  • Course registration,

♣. On the University Portal will take place between Monday, 1st of November – Monday, 15th of November 2021.

♣. It is very important to note here that any candidate caught in any case of forgery will attract automatic withdrawal of the admission offered and possible prosecution of the law.

♣. However, for candidates whose names did not appear on the Benue State University, BSUM first batch admission list, shouldn’t be too worried, but note that there will be a second batch of admission list.

While for candidates who are having issues of not uploading their O’level/A’level result(s) on JAMB CAPS and are hereby advised to visit the BSU official portal (www.bsum.edu.ng)or go to the Academic Office within the university admin block (premises) to cross-check challenges associated with their admission status for resolution and subsequent release of the Second List.

The school management is hereby advising all candidates to act without further delay.
