Not less than 48 hours after the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (jamb) was concluded, students of the exercise have taken to the streets to protest against the way in which the examination was conducted and the results.
We learnt that some candidates were totally displeased with the conduct of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board, JAMB, and have took to the streets of Lagos and Ilorin yesterday to protest.
The protesters carried several placards with different inscriptions, and were demanding that the JAMB Registrar, Prof Dibu Ojerinde, should resign immediately, as the registrar of Jamb.
The protesters turn out in masses, as they blamed the leadership of JAMB for their failures, as some protesters even disclosed that the electronic devices used for the examination malfunctioned.
However, when the JAMB board’s Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin was contacted and asked about the board reaction’s to the protesters, he straightforward, accused proprietors of private schools, whose facilities were not used for the examination of being behind the protest.
