University of Ilorin – 2015/2016 UNILORIN Teaching Hospital Post Basic Nursing Admission Application Form Released

The University of Ilorin Teaching hospital (UITH) management, has announced, that the institution’s post-Basic Nursing diploma admission form for the 2015/2016 academic session has been released to the general public.

We would love to inform and notify all interested nurses, who wish to study in the school, that they can now apply for the programme of their choice.

Please, you can proceed and procure your forms in earnest as the closing date of application has also been announced, and we also published it below this article.

Using this dais, we would love to inform the general public, that applications are currently been invited from suitable and qualified candidates into the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) Post Basic Nursing Diploma Programmes for the 2015/2016 Session.

The following programmes listed below are avaiable:

1. Pediatrics.
2. Accident and Emergency.
3. Nephrology.

Requirements For Admission

(A) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

i. The institution requires that all applicants must have their West African school Certificate/General certificate of Education/SSCE/NECO with passes at the following listed below:
Credit level in five (5) papers obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

ii. All applicants must take note, that the required five credit level must include:
English Language and Science Subjects.

(B) PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

A: All applicants must be a registered Nurse duly registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
B: All applying candidates should also be aware, that they are required to have at least, one (1) year post registration clinical/working experience in the relevant area of specialty which they’re applying for.
C: All applying candidates should also take note, that they must show evidence of sponsorship by an institution or voluntary agencies.

Course Duration

The course will for a total of Twelve (12) calendar months. However, you should note that the institution starts academic activities from November, 2015

ACCOMMODATION

For those candidates who are really interested, we would love to notify you, that accommodation is limited. So, the school decides to run it on a first come first serve basis when admitted.

All interested applicants should note that they are required to pay a Non-Refundable Fee of five thousand Naira only (N5000) or fifty US Dollars ($50.00) for foreign applicants.
This should be paid in a Bank Draft, which MUST be made payable to the School of Post Basic Nursing University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin.

Application Closing Date

When you have download the form, print it out and fill it with your correct and required details, then, ensure that the application forms reach the Principal, School of Post Basic Nursing Studies, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, P.M.B 1459, Ilorin on or before Monday, the 3rd of August, 2015.

UITH Post Basic Nursing Entrance Interview Schedule

Dates for selection have been fixed as follows:
a: The Written examination starts on Tuesday, the 11th of August, 2015 (8.00am)
b: While the Oral Interview commences from Thursday, the 13th of August, 2015 (8.00am)

We would love to notify all applying candidates, applicants and aspirants, that they will only be interviewed for the course indicated in their application forms. Candidates are responsible for their accommodation during the exercise.
