It’s no news that the Federal Polytechnic, Bida has pulled out of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) strike, which has last for more than 10 months old, and the school has already set out plans for her academic activities for the 2013/2014 academic session.

Just like It would be recalled that the Federal Polytechnic Oko, had recently pulled out of the currently ongoing strike, which was embarked on by the Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnic, (ASUP) to resume full academic activities on Monday, the 7th of July, 2014

According to a statement which was released by the polytechnic’s spokesman, Ruth Bawa who disclosed to our correspondent, that the chapter’s congress took the decision on Tuesday, the 1st of July, 2014.

One of the strongest reasons why the lecturers pulled off from the asup strike was that the school was lagging “behind as it is yet to conclude its 2011/2012 academic session”.

The FedPoly Bida Public Relationship Official (PRO) also went further to pointed out “how the 11- months old strike has crippled the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the institution”.
