Latest information reaching our news desk today, is that the Modibbo Adama University of Technology MAUTECH has been closed indefinitely, and the main reason is because of a possible Boko Haram Attack. This information was relayed by the Acting Registrar of Modibbo Adama University of Technology formerly known as Adamawa State University, Mubi, Malam Hassan Tanko yesterday, when he announced a temporal closure of the school.
According to Malam Hassan Tanko, this is as a result of a possible Boko Haram attack on the school by the Islamic Militants.
According to the statement, which directed students to go home, the registrar also disclosed that the university was closed indefinitely for security reasons.
As most students of the school are aware of, Mubi, which is 25 kms from Gulak which was annexed on Saturday, the 6th of September by Boko Haram Islamic Caliphate, appears to be the next target for the militants.
