President Goodluck Jonathan Set to Meet With ASUP & COEASU Leadership Over Strike

Latest information reaching our news desk this morning, is that the president of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan has arranged to meet with the Academic staff union of Polytechnics, (ASUP) and the College of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU).

According to our informant, who pleads anonymity, disclosed to us that the president is set to meet with the leadership of the ASUP and COEASU in June over their current strike action.

According to him, the strike action, which affects both polytechnics and colleges of education, has been ongoing for more than 9 and seven months separately.
We do hope that secret meeting will produce a good outcome so the strike can finally end.

So far, the ASUP strike is 9 months old while that of COEASU is 7 months old.
