ONDO and Kwara State Gov’t Order Schools To Resume 22nd September

Concrete news reaching our educational news publishing desk today, is that the Ondo state and Kwara state have directed all public and private schools in their different state to resume academic activities on Monday, the 22nd of September, for the 2014/2015 academic session, which is in line with the directive of the Nigeria Federal Government, and according to the directives of the Federal government, all schools in Nigeria should resume on the 22nd of September 2014.

This information was disclosed to www.Dailyschoolnews.com.ng team by the Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, who said that the Ondo state government had made necessary provision for the safe return of pupils and students to their schools.

The commission for information also added that they have taken the necessary steps to address the current challenges resulting from the fear of the Ebola virus disease spread.

Kayode also added that the state government had fully lined up activities to sensitise the public, principal and head teachers of schools on how to mitigate the prevention of the Ebola virus disease.

Likewise, the Kwara State government, had also in a statement which was signed by the press secretary in the Ministry of Education, Mr Fatai DanKazeem, who had on behalf of the state Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Saka Onimago, asked all schools to provide the following:

1. Basic hygiene materials,
2. Washing bowls,
3. Soaps
4. Towels.
