We were able to gather that the University of Calabar (Unical) First Choice Post-UTME Screening Exercise has been scheduled to take place on Friday, the 25th of July and Saturday, the 26th of July, 2014 respectively.
Qualification
The Unical leadership announced that for all candidates who scored 180 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), they are automatically qualified to apply.

Guidelines For Payment and Procedures To BUY e-Scratch Card for Unical Post UTME For 2014/2015 Academic Session
You can simply pay for this by walking into any banks participating int the Unical programme.
Please ensure that you request to make payment for UNICAL Post UTME e-scratch card or paper scratch card based on the options below.
How Much will i Pay?
You will be required to pay a total sum of N5,550.00 (Five thousand, Five hundred and fifty naira only) which will cover the following:
→ Screening exercise fee,
→ Practice question papers,
→ Portal/bank charges
Guidelines on How To Pay
You are to visit any branch of Enterprise Bank Ltd in Nigeria,
→ Go directly to the customer personnel and inform them that you want to pay for the Unical UTME pin and the Bank will post the payment to activate your pin.
→ After a successful payment, you are expected to visit the school official website @ unical.postutme.org with the generated PIN for the Post-UTME.
2nd Method On How To Pay -THE PAPER SCRATCH CARD OPTION
First Choice Post-UTME scratch cards are available for those who reside in Calabar or for candidates who are having difficulties in obtaining the e-scratch card receipt:
While for Candidates who are applying in, pay through the banks which are listed below:
→ UNICAL Microfinance Bank,
→ WEMA Bank Plc,
→ Enterprise Bank Ltd.
→ First City Monument Bank Plc.
When you have successfully obtained the scratch card, proceed to any internet cafe, or you can easily use your computer/pc, but don’t use a mobile device.
→ You’re required to visit the university official website http://unical.postutme.org
→ When the website loads up, on the home page, you are expected to enter your JAMB Registration number in the box provided (please ensure that you put your correct JAMB No.) and scratch card pin to enable you gain access to the school official dashboard.
When you have successfully login, then do the following:
→ Upload your passport and signature,
→ When you have done that, then click on: “submit” and follow the on-line instructions.
Last Requirement
1. You must make sure, that you confirm your entries before clicking on submit.
After clicking on the “submit” button, proceed and print out the form. This is very important, because you will be using the printout form as evidence of your registration.
→ You should make sure that you come to the POST UTME venue with the screening venue.
2. You can easily download the version of the “Practice Questions” which are related to your Programme of study after filling the online application form.
Application Deadline
The Registration portal is scheduled to shut down at 12.00 midnight on Wednesday, the 23rd of July, 2014.
What To Bring To The POST UTME Screening Exercise
→ 2014/2015 original examination UTME result slip showing candidate’s photograph.
→ HB pencil, eraser, and a ball-point pen.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
It is important to note, that any form of impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.
Any Candidate who have successfully registered, but for any reason, faiils to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.
The school leadership has announced that they won’t allow any form of electronic gadgets, like GSM handsets, calculators, or any other extraneous materials MUST NOT be brought into the screening hall.
if ANY of the above material is found with you, the school will confiscated it, and will never return it back to you.
We advise you to commence your registration with immediate effect, because at the ending of the registration, there will be several students accessing the portal and this might lead to the downtime of the website.
