Public Holidays Declared on Friday 18th & Monday 21st of April, 2014

Latest educational news reaching our news desk today, is that Friday, the 18th and Monday, the 21st of April 2014, has been declared public holiday.

According to the Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro who on Wednesday, the 16th of April 2014, in a statement made on behalf of the Federal Government and signed by the permanent secretary of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Mrs Fatima Bamidele; declared Friday 18th and Monday 21st of April, 2014 as Public Holidays to mark “Good Friday” and Easter celebrations”.

The Minister of Interior, while disclosing this information to newsmen, said that the federal government is calling on all Christian faithful and Nigerians to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria during this occasion mainly terrorism attacks.

Finally, the Interior Minister also insisted and urged all Nigerians to support the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in building a peaceful, united and virile nation.
