Nigeria Universities – Polytechnics and College of Education news Nigerian Educational News | Zenith Of Educational NewsLatest academic news reaching us today, is that right now, applications are currently been invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for admission into the POST-HND Programme of the college of Engineering, University of Port Harcourt (popularly known as UNIPORT) for the 2013/2014 academic session.
1. OBJECTIVE;
Candidates should note that this particular Programme is created and aimed at upgrading and strengthening the academic background of holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering Discipline, so as to improve their managerial skills and engineering competence and efficiency on their job, as well as to ensure their enhanced industrial productivity.
Candidates should also note that the Program leads to the award of Bachelor of Engineering [B.ENG] Degree in any of the following Engineering fields as listed/mentioned below: www.dailyschoolnews.com.ng
(a). Chemical Engineering
(b). Civil Engineering
(c). Electrical/Electronic Engineering
(d). Mechanical Engineering
(e). Petroleum Engineering
2. Requirements for Admission;
All applying candidates must possess the following requirements in order to qualify for admission into the Programme as mentioned below.
a). A minimum pass level of LOWER CREDIT at the HND [in any of the Disciplines stated above].
(b). Credit level passes at the O/Level in the SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE (or its equivalent) in the following subject;
Mathematics,
Physics,
Chemistry,
English Language
and any other science subject [ from Biology, Agricultural science, Technical Drawing or Further Mathematics].
3. Programme Duration
All applying Candidates should note that the minimum duration of the Programme is three academic calendar years.
A calendar year in this sense consists of three terms of evening and weekend classes.
4. How to Apply
Candidates should also note that the application Forms are to be obtained from the Post-HND Office, Choba Park, University of Port Harcourt, on the payment of a non-refundable fee of Eleven Thousand naira only (#11,000.00) in any of the following Banks as mention/listed below:
First Bank PLC,
UNIPORT-Choba Micro-Finance Bank.
5. How to Submit all Complete Forms;
For any candidate who have filled the application form with his/her rightful details, they should send it, together with two (2) passport-sized photographs of the Applicant and the original copy of receipt of payment for the Application Form should be returned to;
The Coordinator, Post-HND Unit,
Choba Park, University of Port Harcourt.
6. Application Closing Date;
For any interested candidates, you should note that the application closing date is 31st of October, 2013.
