This is from the latest report we received, as it’s been stated clearly that the Kebbi State government has just released the sum of NGN156 million for the payment of tuition and registration fees for indigene students of Kebbi state on scholarship into higher tertiary institutions within and outside the country, you can also call it, Scholarship!.
Alhaji Murtala Yauri, who is the current executive secretary of the state’s scholarship board, did inform newsmen in Birnin Kebbi yesterday that the payment to each academic institution would be immediate.
The executive secretary also pointed out that personal details of beneficiaries would be scrutinized to avoid irregularities and cheats.
The Kebbi State Executive Secretary For Scholarship said that all students who had earlier paid their tuition or registration fees would be refunded, but the student must show a physical evidence of such payment.
Mr Yauri also said that N1.2 billion has been spent in the past two years on the payment of tuition and registration fees for students within and outside the shores of Nigeria.
Well, till date, and as at the time of compiling this article, there’s been no physical proof yet, as it’s for only indigenes of Kebbi State that can confirmed if this information is true.
