Sad: Two Students loss their Lives To Thunder Strike In Jos

It’s really saddening to note that some students loss their live to thunder strike in Jos. Latest report reaching our news desk today, is that two students of a secondary school in Shendam, Plateau State were at the weekend struck dead by lightening while another student was seriously injured by the thunder strike too. The principal of the school, Mr. Raymond Gofut, was quoted as saying that the incident occurred when the students were returning to their hostel in the evening shortly after a heavy downpour.

While the student was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital while the bodies of the deceased students were later deposited at a local mortuary, after which the principal went on to call the parents of the deceased.

When we did contact the state Commissioner for Education of Plateau, Mr. Nanle Dashe, confirmed the incident, saying it was not a government-owned secondary school though he was yet to receive full details about the incident.
