LAUTECH Thrown Into Mourning As Professor Ayeni Dies At Age 64

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LauTech) which is located in Ogbomoso just lost a rare Teacher, Adviser And Friend Of All, Professor R.O. Ayeni who died after a brief illness. Professor Ayeni died at the age of 64.

Here’s A Little Biography On The Great Professor AyeNi.

Professor Ayeni Was Born on June 9, 1948 at Owode-Ketu in Ogun State, Professor Ayeni attended the University of Ife, which is now known to this generation as the Obafemi Awolowo University, where he has successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1973. Professor Ayeni Obtained his bachelor degree in Mathematics, and at the Cornwell University, United States for a doctoral programme. He was the former President Of Mathematical Association of Nigeria.

Here’s How Great Professor Ayeni Was, and his Respect. 1. A Pioneer Dean. 2. Students Affairs LAUTECH. 3. Chairman Committee of Deans and Provosts. 4. He also Chaired the panel set up by the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council. (NERDC) to provided curriculum on Mathematics for primary and secondary schools, which was later transformed into syllabus which is now currently being used by both WAEC and NECO.

Students and Staff of LAUTECH has been posting messages on several social media websites on how they’re missing the late professor and how Lautech is going to be without his presence.
