Secondary School Student Kills School Prefect With Charmed Ring

It’s really sad news that at this age and time, some students are still using diabolic means to get their revenge or whatever. According to a www.dailyschoolnews.com.ng correspondent today, who disclosed that tragedy struck at the Modebe Secondary School, located in Onitsha, Anambra State, where a student of the secondary school allegedly slapped and killed the senior prefect with something believed to be a “charmed ring” which he wore on the finger he used in slapping his senior prefect.

According to some students who were presence when this unfortunate incident took place, the 17-year-old senior prefect, Chukwuebuka Okanume, was said to have queried the suspect, an SS1 student (whose name is withheld for some reasons) for dressing shabbily to the school that day, but was struck death, after the supposed shabbily dressed student struck him with the ring as they got into a heated argument.

We also decided to verify this news and contacted the Anambra state Police Public Relation Officer, Mr. Uche Ezeh, who also confirmed the incident, saying that the junior student was now being interrogated by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) to ascertain the source of the ring and from there, further arrest would be made, but till then, the police are not certain if the ring was charmed or the prefect was suffering from any sickness before meeting his untimely end.

According to our correspondent, who disclosed that the principal of the school, Mr. Ralph Machie, declined further comments to the public and pressmen, saying that until the police are through with their investigation, he won’t be making any comment!

This is a strange world indeed! RIP Chukwuebuka Okanume.
