Kwara State Polytechnics Registers Students For NHIS

The management board of the Kwara State Polytechnics wishes to inform and notify all full-time students of the academic institution, that they now have access to quality healthcare services through registration in the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS.
This information was made public by the institution Rector, Mas’hud Elelu.

Mr. Elelu disclosed this on Monday in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, that this was part of the institution’s effort to improve students’ welfare and ensure they had a conducive environment for learning.

The Rector also disclosed that the students can access NHIS services anywhere in the country once they present their students’ identity cards.
The Rector also went on to said that only regular or full-time students could benefit from the NHIS, adding that the scheme does not cover part-time students of the academic institution.

According to the Rector, who said that the institution has has purchased a new ambulance and also equipped its clinic to make sure that they provide better healthcare service delivery for the students.
He also went on to plead with all well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to assist the polytechnic by providing hostels on campus to help solve accommodation problem the students are facing.
