How to Apply For KWASU Pre-Degree For 2014/2015

LATEST information reaching our news desk today, is that the management board of the Kwara State University, Malete, is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and eligible applicants/candidates for admission into non-residential, Pre-degree and Remedial Programmes of the academic institution.

All candidates who are interested in partaking in this Programmes should note that the programme will last for a duration of one academic year, is set to intensively prepare students with deficiencies in WASSCE, NECO, GCE or JAMB Results for admission into any of the following degree programmes after taking UTME and meeting all necessary requirements, which will be shown to you at the ending of this article.

Entry and Admission Requirements

All interested candidates of the Kwasu Pre Degree programme, should be aware that the school require of them, that they MUST have at least five credit passes at not more than two sittings of the following subjects, including:

English Language for all students,
Mathematics:

for Education,
Science,
Management,

Social Science Students in General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ level, West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO).

All holders of Senior Islamic Studies Certificate (SISC) are also qualified and eligible, however, they MUST provide and prove that they have at least five credit passes at a sitting including English and Arabic Language.

At the end of the Kwara Pre-degree programme, candidates will be qualified for admission into 100 level in various degree courses at the Kwara State University, Malete provided they satisfy the UTME admission criteria and pass the Pre-Degree Examinations of the University without any issue.

ii: While for the Remedial Programme of the Kwara State University, candidates must have at least four credit passes at not more than two sittings including:

English Language for all students,
Mathematics for Education, Science, Management and Social Science Students in General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ level, West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO).

Guidelines on How To Apply

All applying candidates should please note that the school require them to obtain the KWASU Pre Degree form and Remedial Programmes Application before they will be admitted.

All applying candidates can get this form easily at any Branch of Zenith Bank with the sum of N10,000 ONLY, using the following details:

All applying candidates MUST record the teller number on the application form online at www.kwasu.edu.ng, to be legally qualified for admission into the Pre degree or Remedial programme.

School Fees

Candidates should please note that the total fees payable for non-science students is N100,000.00,
While for Science students, it’s N120,000.00 only.

Application Closing Date and Commencement of Lectures

The official closing date for registration is the 21st of August, 2014.
While the school management board had already announced that lectures is set to commence in September 2014.

Anyone who will be applying later than on the 21st of August, should note that it will be a late registration, and this will attracts additional fee.
