DECEMBER, 2013

Thursday December 19 Committee of Deans meets to consider the revised Time Table for Examinations and the 2013/2014 Academic Calendar.

Friday December 20 Christmas and New Year Break

JANUARY, 2014

Friday January 3: Christmas and New Year Breaks End.

Monday January 6: Revision Week Continues

Tuesday January 7: Fresh students return to Campus and commence Registration for the 2013/2014 session

Friday January 10: Revision for the 2012/2013 Second Semester Examinations end.

Monday January 13: Second Semester Examinations Begin.

Friday January 31: Second Semester Examinations End.

FEBRUARY 2014

Monday February 3: Registration commences for old students for the 2013/2014 session. Fresh students commence Lectures

Monday February 10: Old students commence lectures

Monday Feb 10 – Tuesday Feb 11 and Wednesday Feb 12: Orientation for New Students at Uli and Igbariam Campuses.

Friday February 14: Registration ends for old students. Late registration with penalty begins.

Wednesday February 26: Special Senate meeting to approve the 2012/2013 Examination Degree Results.

Friday February 28: Late Registration for old students ends

MARCH 2014

Thursday March 6: University Community Prayer session and the 14th Matriculation Ceremony at Uli Campus

Friday March 7: University Community Prayer session and the 14th Matriculation Ceremony at lgbariam Campus

Monday March 17: V-C/Staff interactive session at Igbariam Campus

Tuesday March 18: V-C/Staff interactive session at Uli Campus

Wednesday March 26: Senate Meeting

APRIL 2014

Wednesday April 9: University Congregation at Igbariam Campus

Monday April 14: V-C/Students interactive session at Igbariam Campus.

Tuesday April 15: V-C/Students interactive session at Uli Campus

Wednesday April 23: Senate Meeting

MAY 2014

Thursday May 1: May (Workers’) Day

Friday May 9: Lectures end for all students after 13 weeks.

Monday May 12: Revision Begins

Wednesday May 14: Vice Chancellor’s Interactive session with Staff and Students in Awka Campus

Friday May 16: Revision Ends

Monday May 19 :First Semester Examinations Begin for all Students.

Thursday May 29: Democracy Day

JUNE 2014.

Friday June 6: First Semester Examinations End. Students leave for Semester Break

Friday June 20: First Semester Break ends after 2weeks.

Monday June 23: 2nd Semester Registration begins for all students.

Wednesday June 25: Senate Meeting.

Monday June 30: 2nd Semester Lectures begin for all students

JULY 2014

Friday July 4: 2nd Semester Registration ends for all students. Late Registration with penalty begins.

Friday July 18: 2nd Semester Registration ends finally for all students.

AUGUST 2014

Wednesday August 5: to Sunday August 10 Students Union week at Uli, Igbariam and Awka Campuses.

Wednesday August 27: Senate Meeting

SEPTEMBER 2014

Wednesday Sept. 10: Congregation at Uli Campus

Wednesday Sept. 24: Senate Meeting

Friday Sept. 26: Lectures end for all students after 13 weeks.

Monday Sept. 29: Revision begins

OCTOBER 2014

Wednesday Oct. 1: Independence Day

Friday Oct. 3: Revision Ends

Monday Oct. 6: 2nd Semester Exams begin

Friday Oct. 24: 2nd Semester Exams end. Students leave for vacation.

END OF 2013/2014 SESSION

NOVEMBER 2014

Monday Nov. 17: New Students arrive Campus and commence registration.

Tuesday Nov. 18: Old students return and commence registration

Wednesday Nov. 19: Senate meets to approve Degree Results and consider calendar for the 2014/2015 session.
