UNIPORT Registration Acceptance and Accommodation fees Process for New Admitted Students

Using this platform, the dailyschoolnews, would love to inform all newly admitted students of the University of Port-Harcourt (uniport) that the academic institution has just commence her acceptance and accommodation fee.
Please all candidates should be aware and informed that the University of Port Harcourt Management has made the following payments compulsory for 2013/2014 academic session (Year One students).

Acceptance Fees : N30,000
Accommodation Fees: N19,850

These payments must be made first to enable them gain access to further registration process.

All newly admitted candidates should use the step by step procedure outlined below.
Step 1. You are required to confirm your name in the Admission List on the Uniport eCampus Portal;
Step 2. After this, you are also required to proceed to pay your Acceptance Fee in any of the school’s designated banks across the country assigned to your Faculty;

First bank of Nigeria Plc – (SCIENCE)
United Bank for Africa Plc – (COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES, SSLT FULLTIME, SSLT PART TIME)
Access Bank Plc – (DENTISTRY, ENGINEERING, PHND)
EcoBank Plc – (AGRICULTURE, SOCIAL SCIENCE)
U & C Microfinance Bank (Uniport) – (EDUCATION, POST NCE)
Fidelity Bank – (ACIB, HUMANITIES, MANAGEMENT SCIENCES)
FinBank Plc – (PHARMACY)

Step 3. After you have paid the money, you can then sign up and Sign in (Log in) on the eCampus Portal;
Step 4. Make sure that you proceed to pay your Hostel Accommodation Fee in any of the school’s designated banks across the country assigned to your Faculty ;
Step 5. Sign in (Log in) on the eCampus Portal to complete the Clearance Eligibility Form;

If not cleared: then follow the step by step guidelines below.
Step 1. Make sure that you fill the Rejection Forms and choose any of the suggested departments that is most likely to accept you.
Step 2. After filling the form, you are also required to proceed to the Admissions Office for advice from the rejection officer in the Admissions office;
Step 3. Please note that the Rejection admission officer, after confirmation will request you to pay for admission rejection form;
Step 4. Pay for the rejection form and proceed to the Rejection officer in the admissions Unit to get your rejection form;

Based on the advice of the Rejection Officer, the rejected candidate proceeds to the recommended department.

The HOD of the department, Dean and the faculty officer of the faculty will endorse the acceptance or rejection of the candidate in the Rejection form (if the candidate is still rejected by the department in question, he officers will make their remarks stating the reason for their rejection and the candidate is expected go back to the rejection officer for another recommendation and advice).

Otherwise, if the candidate is accepted by the department, he/she then returns to the admissions office (Rejection officer for further endorsement)
The candidate’s department is then changed online to the department which accepted the candidate
This therefore makes room for the candidate to go back online to complete the eligibility form online based on the department which accepted the candidate.

But if you are cleared, then follow the procedures below.
Proceed to pay your School Fee in any of the school’s designated banks across the country assigned to your Faculty:

Fidelity Bank – (ACIB, HUMANITIES, MANAGEMENT SCIENCES)
FinBank Plc – (PHARMACY)

Step 1. You are required to sign in (Log in) on the Uniport’s eCampus Portal and print all online fees receipt;
Step 2. Then make sure that you complete the Personal Data Form for new Students;
Step 3. Also ensure that you complete all other Registration Forms online and Print;
Step 4. You are also required to carry out Medical Examination and Registration at the Uniport Medical Centre;
Step 5. This is the most important; Make sure that you get all your completed and Printed documents including the following mentioned and listed below:
Online Fee Receipt,
Acceptance form,
Provisional admission slip,
Guarantor’s form.

Then you are also to proceed for Physical verification at the admissions office with original O’level result certificate and UTME result slip (for sighting);

If cleared by the Admissions Office, proceed with your documents for clearance with the faculty officer of the faculty to which your department belongs;

If cleared by your Faculty Officer, wait for the approval of the Academic officer before you proceed with other registration activities such as course registration.

Important Information;
All candidates are also required and expected to complete all registration activities on or before the stated dates in the school calendar or stand the risk of forfeiting their admission for the academic session.

Uniport’s Venue of Registration for 2013;
The Venue for the Registration exercise is the Admissions Office, Delta Park Uniport.
