Yaba College Of Technology (YABATECH) Elects New Deputy Rector’s

The federal government has appoints two new Rector’s for the Yaba College Of Technology. This appointment was conducted through the Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyat Ahmed Rufa’i.

The Newly Appointed Rector’s Of Yaba College Of Technology are: Dr Morouf Adebakin, As Deputy Rector, Administration. Mr Innocent Akhuemonkhan, Deputy Rector Of Academics.

Dr Morouf Adebakin until his appointment As Rector in YABATECH, was the Director, YABATECH Consult, the Business/Consultancy arm of the college of Technology. Dr Morouf has joined YABATECH as Lecturer III in the year1993, which is 10 years after he has worked in the college as a clerical officer and has slowly rose through the ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in January 2011.

Dr Morouf has graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1988 with a BSc in Psychology. He also a graduate of the University of Lagos with MSc Psychology and PhD in Organisational Behaviour in 1990 and 2011.

The new Deputy Rector, Academic, Mr Innocent Akhuemonkhan has until his appointment as Rector of YABATECH, was a Chief Lecturer and Pioneer Director, Academic Planning Unit of the Yaba College Of Technology. He has also joined YABATECH as a Lecturer II in 1981, and rose to the position of Chief Lecturer in the Department of Food Technology in January 1999. He was Head of Department of Food Technology from 1991 to 1997. He also obtained his B.Sc. Honours Upper Division, in Biochemistry (1976) and M.Sc. Food Technology (1981) at the University of Ibadan.

This are two great men who has got a good history in Life, hope they’ll impact YABATECH with their knowledge.
