Using this Educational platform, the DailyschoolNews Team wishes to keep and notify all admitted students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) with latest and current information regarding what will be required From them as required in the last academic session (2011/2012)

Please note that this information was released at the ending of OAU last academic session.
However, please note that this information would keep you ahead of time and you’ll certainly be informed.

TISHIP which stands for

Tertiary Institutions Students Health Insurance Programme2>= N1,600.00.
Students’ Union Levy =N100.00.
Library Fee =N500.00.
Medical Screening Fee =N2,500.00
Sports Levy =N1,000.00
I.D. Card =N300.00
This is a TOTAL Of N17,000.00
(seventeen thousand naira only)

The TOTAL Amount Is N22,000.00.
Twenty Two Thousand Naira Only.
3. Administration (Diploma in Local Government Studies)
Tuition Fee = N63,300.00
TISHIP (Tertiary Institutions Students Health Insurance Programme) =N 1,600.00
The TOTAL Fee Is: N64,900.00
Sixty Four Thousand, Nine hundred Naira Only.

4. Accommodation = N3,090.00
All Newly admitted students (Otherwise known as Freshers) will be provided accommodation on first come first served basis).
Also note that the OAU Accommodation fee of N3,090.00 should be paid separately into any branches of the banks across Nigeria which are listed below:

Other Requirements For 2011/2012 Registration Of Newly Admitted Students
This is to inform all Candidates who have been offered admission that they should present the original and four (4) photocopies each of their credentials.

These required Credentials includes the following:
1. Birth Certificate/­Sworn Declaration of Age.

While Each candidate who have been successfully admitted are required to submit his/her admission notice as downloaded.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All Candidates will also be required to produce a Payment Certificates which must be downloaded on-line from the OAU official e-portal.
NUMBER 3.
Screening Of Fresh Students
This is to inform all Newly Admitted students/fresh students that they are expected to report in the University for the screening exercise at their various Faculties.
All newly admitted students should come with their various documents as listed above as well as the tellers used in the payment of the charges and the downloaded payment certificates from the e-portal.
While for any Newly admitted students or fresh student who fails to report for the screening exercise within the specific period (to be announced soon @ Dailyschoolnews) will be deemed to have forfeited his/her admission offer.

While For further information regarding the screening, Flyer for the full procedures on screening/registration for fresh student will be made available at the Admissions Office and in all Faculties and Halls of Residence in the Obafemi Awolowo University.
Number 4.
Procedures And Guidelines For Accessing The OAU Official E-portal
1. Log on to the Obafemi Awolowo University e-Portal using your Registration Number and the Password you used last on the e-Portal.
2. Ensure that you have successfully complete the following Forms correctly on the Portal.
CERTIFICATE FORM (for not more than two sittings).
1. Bio-Data.
2. Course Registration Form.
3. Bed Space Clearance Form.
(optional)
The Course Registration Form will only be available after you’ve Only Done This:

1. Successful filling of Forms (i) and (ii) above.
2. Payment of appropriate fees should be made into any branch of the banks listed above.
Important Notice:
To avoid congestion on campus, all newly admitted students/freshers as well as returning students are advised to make payments in branches of the listed banks outside the campus.
Be informed that only 2000 spaces are available for each of the Special Electives except SER 001 and LIB 001, which are compulsory for all Fresh Students.
3. Encounter any Issues, Problems?
If Yes, your problems will be only addressed on-line using any of the following options listed below:

1. Online help on the e-portal.
2. Six Hotlines will be available for contact (the Hot lines will be available on the OAU official e-portal.

All returning Students are required to pay the Required charges as indicated above as well as a sum of N1,600 for TISHIP (Tertiary Institutions Students Health Insurance Programme) into any of the branches OF banks Mentioned below:
First Bank Plc.
Skye Bank Plc.
Zenith Bank Plc.
Candidates should note that accommodation fee of N2,590.00 (returning undergraduates)should be paid separately into any branches of the underlisted banks across Nigeria.
UBA Plc.
WEMA Plc.
All Students with extra semester(s) are required to pay appropriate charges which includes TISHIP as indicated above.
They should in addition, obtain clearance from their Heads of Departments to enable them log on to the e-portal for full complete registration.
Students can access the e-portal from any Cyber Café anywhere for their registration as stated above.
Bed Space Allocation:
All Fresh undergraduates and final year students will request for Bed Space Allocation placement directly on the e-portal and payment of appropriate fees which includes accommodation.
Candidates will be required to print 3 copies of Bed Space Clearance Forms from the e-portal which must be duly signed by the student and the Hall warden.
What To Do With The Three Copies Of Bed Clearance Form
1. All Fresh Under-graduates students are required to keep one of the completed Bed Space Allocation Forms.

2. Then submit one to the Dean, Student Affairs.

3. The last copy should also be submitted to the Hall Warden to qualify him/her to OCCUPY the bed space allocated.

Important Notice!
Please be informed that failure to submit the Bed Space Clearance Form automatically disqualifies any candidate the Bed Space Allocation.
Apart from fresh undergraduate students, final year students are also given priority for accommodation.

Other spaces available (if any) will be balloted for.

    are released together on jamb website for
    the newly admitted students into OAU? SO Y
    DO ppl keep asking wen would the DE be
    released cause I did DE and I got in, so also
    my friends, so I don’t really understand why
    ppl ask wen DE names would be released
