Guidelines On How To Apply For NNPC/TOTAL National Merit Scholarship Scheme For 2013/2014

Throughout the past years, The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria have demonstrated a high level of commitment towards the educational development of Nigerian students as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

According to what we have seen so far, this commitment has been confirmed in several ways in Nigeria, one of which is the annual award of scholarships to deserving Nigerian students in tertiary institutions.

The main aim of this programme is to promote academic excellence and qualitative manpower development in the nation.

SO we hope that with this information, you’ll have a full insight as to what you stand to gain once you quality. Using this platform, the NNPC/TOTAL hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for its 2013/2014 National Merit Scholarship Awards.

Who Is Eligible To Apply?
To qualify for consideration applicants MUST be able to show and do the following:

All applying candidates should note that they MUST be registered FULL TIME undergraduates in recognized Nigerian Universities.
They must be certified 100/200 level students at the time of application
They should also be able to provide proof of SSCE or equivalent certificate
All interested candidates should be able to show proof of UME scores, Admission letters & Matriculation numbers.

Important Notice:
The following categories of students should not apply for the scholarship, or their application will be totally rejected:

  1. 300 level students and above
  2. Current beneficiaries of similar awards from other companies and agencies

How to Register for NNPC/TOTAL 2014/2015 Scholarship
When you open the above link, you will see a button where you can apply, simply click on the “Apply” button.
When it opens up, you’ll see “Selection Tests”.
Note that the selection tests will be held on the 24th of May 2014 at designated centres nationwide which will be communicated to the shortlisted Candidates through their email address or other contact details. So you’ll need to fill the registration form with your original details.

Note that candidates are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and fro the venue of the selection tests.

Application Closing Date
All applying students should submit the following required documents on or before the 30th of March, 2014.

Please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted for the tests.

  • My school just rounded up the first semester yesterday and am in 100 level,so my CGPA is not ready yet,please what do i do,or am i no longer eligible to apply?
