According to latest information reaching us today in Dailyschoolnews Nigeria, which disclosed that the Secondary school students have express strong disapproval of the introduction of the 39 new subjects in this year’s May/ June examinations, saying most of the subjects still lack teachers in their various schools.
While speaking exclusively to a representative of NANS, the students asserted that not having qualified teachers to handle the subjects would trounce the aim of introducing these subjects.
According to most students, here’s their most disturbed issue with the introduction of these new subjects:
“The initiative is a brilliant one, especially when you consider the fact that some students leave school without any hope of knowing what next to do.
English Language,
General Mathematics,
Civic Education and Trade/Entrepreneurial Studies are compulsory for student who would also choose three or four subjects from the following:
Humanities,
Science,
Technology,
Business Studies.
which depends on their potential and interest.
What is your view on this? did you or do you not approve of these new 39 subjects introduced?
THERE SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TRAINED TEACHERS BEFORE INTRODUCTION.
