NDDC Commissions Student Hostel at Federal University of Technology (FUTO)

The Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) has just commissioned and handed over a 174-room modern prototype hostel to the management board of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Imo State.

While cutting the tape to officially declare the facility open for the use of students, the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission Governing Board, Senator Bassey Ewa-Henshaw, disclosed that the creation of the hostel was meant to provide a conducive learning environment for the academic community as well as the students to perform well in their studies.”

The President of the Students’ Union Government, Comrade Godson Okereke, also disclosed to Dailyschoolnews Nigeria correspondent who was present at the tape cutting ceremony, said that the new hostel had given them cause to celebrate and SUG president also went said that the students are thankful to both the Federal Government and the NDDC for the provision of the building.
