It’s getting tough for ASUU leadership, as more and more academic varsities pull out of the sixth month old Asuu strike, and the University of Calabar (UNICAL) would not have been a good bet if any one was to guess who would be the next to join University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Federal University of Technology, Owerri.

This is the official statement released by the unical management team:
“Normal Academic/Allied activities will resume tomorrow, the 4th of December, 2013 at the University of Calabar.

According to a statement released by the Deputy Registrar (Academic Division) Mr. Mike Monity said this was the decision reached at an emergency meeting of varsity which was held at the senate Chambers of the academic institution.

The release statement also stated that the decision which was reached by the unical senate is in compliance with the directive issued by the coordinating minister of Education and also hinted that details of the revised University calendar will be disclosed in due course.

However, students with pending activities like 2nd semester registration, Final year and Post Graduate research projects should resume while time table for lectures is being worked out.
