According to information reaching us today, that the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan branch, Dr Segun Ajiboye, yesterday said that the ASUU Strike has entered her 6th month and would soon come to an end, especially as the federal government has begun to shift grounds. He however did not give details of the ‘ground-shifting’ he talked about.
According to information received, the federal government, had earlier given the resume-or-be-sacked ultimatum which should have ended yesterday, but later postponed it till the 9th of December, in respect of Late Prof. Iyayi.
Also dropping the hint in Ibadan yesterday, during the academic session of tributes, which was organised to honor the late Professor, according to Mr Ajiboye, who also said that Tribute which is organised by ASUU was not only to mourn their late president, but also to mobilise ASUU members towards pursuing the struggle to its logical conclusion.
The University also staged a candlelight procession in honor of the late former National President of ASUU.
