Getting a course in an institution accredited by the Nigeria University commission is very hard, but getting all Courses accredited is a feat few academic institutions in Nigeria, including the Salem University can boast of.
The visit of the Accreditation team of National Universities Commission (NUC) to Salem University on the 20th of January, 2014 to accredit the academic programmes offered at the Department of Management Sciences of the University has received 100 per cent accreditation from NUC.
The Salem University, which is located in Lokoja, did played host to the National Universities Commission management board in the pre-accreditation visit. The visit of the NUC to the University was to access, inspect and examine the physical facilities/structures and the academic content of the programmes (Accounting and Business Management) offered in the Department of Management Sciences.
The team was impressed at the acceleration of physical and man power development recorded by the University within six years of its take off.
According to the Vice chancellor, who spoke with us, said that the programmes all received 100 per cent (full) accreditation from NUC management board. The University has several milestones and has continued to do well in all its power at its disposal to ensure that it improves the standard of education in Nigeria.
Well done to the board behind the Salem University, this is not an easy fit. Wishing the school’s Staff and students the Best.
