Using this platform, the Dailyschoolnews Nigeria team wishes to inform the general public, especially all candidates who have applied for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna for the 2014/2015 academic session, that the University’s leadership board, has just released her pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE), which is billed to hold at the University Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, Minna.
Here are the Details as Follows:
→ UTME: Tuesday, the 5th of August and Wednesday, 6th August, 2014
→ Direct Entry: Thursday, the 25th of September and Friday, the 26th of September, 2014.
Important Note:
All candidates should please, note that the examination screening exercise will be conducted using Computer Based-Test (CBT) platform.
Registration Guidelines
All applying candidates should note that the registration for UTME candidates will commence on Wednesday, the 16th of July, 2014 to exactly 12:00 midnight of Saturday, the 2nd of August, 2014.
All direct Entry candidates are required to register on Monday, the 8th of September, 2014, and the application form will automatically close on Monday, the 22nd of September, 2014.

ALL Candidates are expected to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 (two thousand Naira only)
Which is N1,000.00 for the Computer-Based-Test screening,
While the other N1,000.00 as University Processing Fee,
The fees can be paid through the Interswitch platform.
Qualification
→ Please note that only JAMB UTME and Direct Entry candidates who have selected the Federal University of Technology, Minna are eligible for the 2014/2015 screening exercise.
→ ALL UTME candidates are expected to have a minimum UTME score of 180, except for those courses for which higher cut-off marks have been indicated on the University official Website in which case such candidates are eligible to change to any other course whose requirements are met by the candidates.
→ IT’s a must that all candidates should possess a minimum of five ‘O’ level credits including:
Mathematics,
English Language at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses.
Also in addition, the Direct Entry(D.E) candidates must possess a minimum of Lower Credit at National Diploma and/or Higher National Diploma levels or Merit at NCE level.
→ Please note that only ‘O’ level result print-outs, which are downloaded directly from the websites of the National Examining Bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of original certificate(s) will be accepted for verification by the school board.
→ ALL applying candidates who have awaiting results, must submit such results not later than Wednesday, the 15th of October, 2014.
