Nigeria Universities – Polytechnics and College of Education news Nigerian Educational News | Zenith Of Educational NewsAccording to information just arriving our publishing news desk today, the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU had on Thursday, the 17th of July 2014, officially suspended its seven-months old strike for three months to allow the Federal Government look at their grievances, exactly the same method used by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP).
According to our correspondent, who said and we quote “The COEASU President, Dr. Emmanuel Sage told reporters in FCT Abuja today, at the end of a meeting with the newly appointed minister of education, Ibrahim Shekarau that the College of education academic staff union decided to suspend the strike in other to give the new minister a chance to work on their demands with the federal government.
The Union has also released the date for resumption, as they ask both students and lecturers to resume class on 21st July.
We would love you to note that the Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU embarked on an indefinite strike to press home the implementations of their demands from the federal government.
