Latest educational news reaching us today, is that the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has accredited 12 new programmes for the Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State.
According to the rector of the Polytechnic, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yahya, who disclosed at a meeting of the school’s governing council that 13 programmes were submitted to NBTE for accreditation but 12 were approved after the quality assurance scrutiny by the Accrediting board.
The rector of the polyt, also said that the covered four Higher National Diploma (HND) courses and eight National Diploma (ND) programmes comprising science and technology and management.
He also said that the NBTE has given the Mubi Polytechnic approval to admit students for the 12 new programmes for the 2013/2014 academic session.
He also disclosed to press men that more efforts are being made by the management of the polytechnic to remedy the deficiency observed in the programme that failed the NBTE’s accreditation exercise.
