Federal Gov. Holds Important Talks With ASUU Today -Fg to releases N100bn To Suswam-led Committee

Latest educational news reaching the Dailyschoolnews team today, is that the Federal Government has already engage the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in a crucial talks today, been the 13th of August 2013, we were also able to gather that the main motive of the meeting is how to end the ongoing strike by the ASUU union.

According to the Nigerian Minister of Education, she also confirm this news to Daily school news, Professor Ruqa’yyatu Ahmed Rufa’i, made this known in Abuja, on Monday, where she said that there are reasonable progress which have been made in the ongoing efforts to get the lecturers back to classroom.

The Minister of education also noted that a presidential intervention of N100 billion had been released to the implementation committee of the Needs Assessment Report, which has the Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam, as chairman.
