This is to inform all interested applicants and prospective candidates that they are invited for admission into non-residential, Pre-degree and Remedial Programmes of the Kwara State University.
Here Are Certain Things You Need To Know About Kwasu Programme:
A. The Kwasu Pre-Degree Programme which is for a duration of one year, is designed to prepare candidates for any of the degree programmes offered by the University as listed below:
1. Colleg Of Agriculture And Veterinary Medicine.
a. Agricultural Economics and Extension Services.
b. Animal Production.
c. Crop Production.
2. Colleg Of Pure And Applied Sciences.
a. Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry.
b. Geology and Mineral Science.
c. Microbiology.
d. Plant and Environmental Biology.
e. Physics and Material Science.
f. Mathematics and Statistics.
3. College Of Information And Communication Sciences.
a. Computer Science.
b. Library and Information Sciences.
c. Mass Communication.
4. College Of Education:
a. Business Education.
b. Early Childhood AND Primary Education.
c. Special and inclusive Education.
d. Kinesiology, Health and Sport Administration.
5. College Of Humanities, Management And Social Science.
a. Arabic.
b. Christian Religious Studies.

B. The Remedial Programme also intensively prepares her prospective students with deficiencies in School Certificate Results for General Certificate Examination/
West African School Certificate Examination/
National Examination Council/
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for duration of Nine Months.
Such students will be considered for admission into any degree programme after taking the utme examination and meeting all necessary requirements.
Admission Requirements.
a. For Pre-Degree programme, candidates must have at least five credit passes at not more than two sittings including English Language for all students and Mathematics for the following courses:
Education,
Science,
Management.
Social Science.
All Students in General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ level, West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO).
1. Holders of Senior Islamic Studies Certificate (SISC) are also eligible and qualified for the programme, provided they have at least five credit passes at a sitting including English and Arabic Language.
Also note that at end of the programme, candidates will be eligible and qualified for admission into 100 level in various degree courses at the Kwara State University, Malete provided they satisfy the utme admission criteria and pass the Pre-Degree Examinations of the educational institution.
b. For the Remedial Programme, candidates must have at least four credit passes at not more than two sittings including English Language for all students and Mathematics for the following courses.
Education.
Science.
Management.
Social Science.
All Students in General Certificate of Education (GCE) ‘O’ level, West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or National Examination Council (NECO).
Please candidates should also take note and be aware that the Application Deadline and Commencement of Lectures.
The Application for admission deadline is on the 31st of August 2012.
However, late applications forms can also be available, but at a cost to pay.
The cost for Kwasu Late application is N10,000.00 in the school after this date, please note.
Lectures for first semester commences September, 2012.
To obtain the KWASU Pre-Degree and Remedial Programmes Application Forms, all participating candidates are expected to pay in the sum of N7,500.00
