Using This Medium, we would love to inform the general public that the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, widely known as Unilorin, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, on Monday, has disclosed that the Educational Institution has graduated more than 5,383
[Five Thousand, Three Hundred And Eighty Three.]
persons in various faculties in the 2011/2012 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor also disclosed that the Educational Institution Senate did approved the following:
4,686 First Degrees.
679 Post Graduate Degrees.
Also Note that from the educational institution, the Faculty of Science did recorded 11 first class graduates, while the:
Faculties of Agriculture,
produced seven first class graduates each.
Professor Oloyede, however did promptly denied that he planned to hold a special convocation to enable him to preside over the graduation ceremony before the end of his tenure.
We would love to quote the statement made by the Vice Chancellor:
As a matter of tradition, the university of ilorin does not celebrate individuals but collective achievements.
So Whoever is the new vice-chancellor, no matter how new he is on the seat, would statutorily preside over the convocation ceremonies.
The vice chancellor also urged students of the university community to co-operate with the Vice- Chancellor designate, Prof Abdul Ganiyu Ambali, and other principal officers.
The Vice Chancellor also advised staff and students to always have a positive disposition toward the educational institution.
So that the educational institution would continue to excel among other institutions in the country and beyond.
