First, you need to know that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has chosen to start selling the 2020 UTME Form on the 13th of January 2020.
Good News to all JAMB 2020 aspirants, because latest news reaching us today, is that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has proposed a date for its much-awaited and anticipated 2020 examinations.
The JAMB board has officially proposed March 14th to April 4th, 2020, as the Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) date.
The JAMB board also disclosed that February 18th, 2020, has been chosen as the date for mock examination which usually comes before the main UTME examinations. Candidates should note that the JAMB Mock examinations are optional for candidates.
JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede disclosed this important information during a meeting between JAMB and commissioners for education in FCT Abuja.
The document of the meeting was sent to numerous Nigerian Media houses on Monday afternoon by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
Mr. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that the registration of UTME and Direct Entry will commence starting on the 13th of January and will end on the 17th of February, 2020, while mock examination registration will start from January 13 to February 1, 2020.
You’ll recall that Dailyschoolnews Nigeria had reported how the JAMB registrar disclosed that the board usually takes into cognizance dates of other public examinations like WAEC, government examination, etc.
Professor Ishaq further disclosed that for the 2020 UTME, the board will be using a ‘ticketing system’ where a candidate or anybody desiring the board’s services can send his/her complaint(s) and responses will be given within 24 hours.
The registrar assured parents, guardians, and candidates that with this new ticketing system, there is absolutely no need to travel to JAMB offices to access certain services.
“Starting from this year’s (2020) examination, JAMB has now introduced a tracking number that is issued once a ticket is raised by candidates or anyone anywhere. If not attended to, the number can be used as evidence to track the officer scheduled who would certainly be sanctioned for not replying. The system is designed to eliminate any stress associated with accessing the Board’s services.”
