Using this medium, we gladly saluter the vice chancellor of the Federal University Of Science And Technology, Owerri For His Innovative Plans and new looks he has added to the educational institution.

Now the 7th substantive vice chancellor of Federal university of science and technology, Professor C.C Asiabaka, has quite suprisely changed the image of futo into a desiring and suitable learning environment, also for recreational activities, which certainly befits the institution.

The Vice Chancellor started from beautifying the school environment with new and modernized structures along the general studies and school of agric and agricultural technology site, to repainting all the staff offices, including lecture halls, and students hostels.
Not only that, the Vice Chancellor also went further, brought and installed more than 300 pieces of solar converter energy, which has enabled street lights into the dark roads of Futo.
This movement by the VC has transformed the ever dark night of Futo into a bright and conducive learning environment, even in night hours.

The welfare of the students is his utmost concern, as he has clearly stated through his actions.
The vice chancellor has just met the basic needs and infrastructures of the hostelers.
With water running everywhere ranging from the local manpower pump to tap and overhead tanks.
Also Electric Light is now not just constant but steady too.
Further more, the vice chancellor has recently connected showers for hostelers in hostel A.
Now, students living in off campus locations like eziobodo and umuchima will give everything to make them hostelers again at least to enjoy this basic amenities of life provided by the Vice Chancellor.
