Breaking News reaching us today, is that, the Governing Council of the Ekiti State University, (popularly know as EKSU), has just wielded a mighty big stick by approving the dismissal of three top academic staff of the Varsity for partaking in manipulation of examination scores, plagiarism and failure to serve the university after being sponsored abroad to help enhance the academic institution.
And not just that, the Management board also have three other Lecturers appointments terminated for alleged gross academic misconduct, falsification of employment records and s£xual harassment of female students.
NOt stopping there, the Ekiti State University has expelled 24 students and suspend more that 300 other students for offence, which ranges from examination misconduct to being members of unregistered associations in the university.
a statement which was released by the Deputy Registrar, Information and Protocol, Mr. Ajibade Olubunmi, in Ado Ekiti, weekend, stat that these decisions were taken by the university governing council at its 108th meeting, based on the recommendations of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee on matters concerning the affected staff.
