NYSC Forewarns Nigerian Institutions Against Mobilizing Illegal Students

THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management would love to forewarns all academic institutions in Nigeria against the mobilizing of illegal students.

According to information reaching our news desk today, is that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is using the Dailyschoolnews Nigeria platform, to called on all academic institutions to send the board ONLY the names of qualified candidates who have their JAMB results. Stating that the appropriate names of all accredited courses offered to the student, should be sent to the NYSC board it for mobilization.

The NYSC board also went on to say that all qualified academic institutions, except NOUN which are yet to be accredited, should also take note that they MUST add that results released and acknowledged by the senate of the academic institutions as well as soft and hard copies of the names of students, to enable the board enlist the candidates for the NYSC programme.

According to the senate board’s observation, the NYSC disclosed that names of illegal candidates who might have paid their ways to be enlisted in the programme, including roadside mechanics were sent to its headquarters for mobilization, creating unnecessary problems for the corps and making things more harder for the sect.

Also speaking on this issue, the director general of the NYSC, Brigadier General, Johnson Olawumi, who was represented by an NYSC official, Mr Fasanu Isaac disclosed that the 2015 combined policy meeting on admissions to degree,
Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE)
National Diploma,
National Innovation Diploma- awarding institutions,

Which was held yesterday.

According to the NYSC official, all students that have different courses offered with those on their statements of results will be demobilized and won’t be enlisted for the NYSC programme.
